NES are the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) of heat exchangers fitted to all three classes of submarine currently in service in HM Navy. NES operate engineering and projects from a Secure Area Facility with any manufacture/refurbishment being undertaken in a secure assembly and test area.
Although the design authority for this equipment, as with any MoD contract, sites with the MoD, at the OEM we work with them to ensure that the designs are fit for purpose.
NES also handled the complete manufacture and testing of flexible seawater couplings currently fitted to submarine coolers and condensers.
NES has the necessary skills and resources to provide solutions to almost any heat exchanger requirement, from application analysis and concept design, through complete manufacture to installation and commissioning.
