Martyn joined NES in 2011 as Programme Manager for the nuclear integrated project team, moving to NES from Babcock where he worked on new build and refit projects for AWE.
Martyn’s previous roles have included project management for AWE on the Aquarius glovebox project, programme manager with Thales developing military vehicle weapons systems, and as a package manager for Airbus on the A400M aircraft where he was responsible for leading edge details of the wing.
Martyn began his career as an aircraft instrumentation apprentice, through to production engineering on military vehicles. Martyn also served 13 years as an army reservist having been to Sandhurst and Military Staff College where he trained soldiers as an Operations Officer. -

Malcolm brings over 34 years engineering and global project delivery experience within UK and Europe to NES. Recent industry experience encompasses pharmaceutical production, synthetic rubbers, bio fuel facilities, natural gas storage facilities and nuclear decommissioning. Currently SEP Mobile Cave programme manager, Malcolm leads a team of 170 personnel delivering £16 to £18 million of work per year in accordance with Sellafields Limited requirements.

Andrew joined NES in late 2011 heading up NES Wolverhampton’s Manufacturing Facility. He has a highly skilled team of mechanical and electrical fitters, test and commissioning, manufacturing and documentation engineers and the associated support team. Andrew is responsible for the delivery of complex plant and equipment meeting the agreed quality and cost requirements.
Andrew brings over 25 years experience in Manufacturing and Engineering Operations. Holding a BEng (hons) and MBA spent his early career in the Paper Industry. He is a ground up Engineer from Instrument Technician, through Engineering to Operations management. Andrew then moved into BAE Systems Submarine Solutions Operations playing a key role in the development of Manufacturing technology, strategies and processes used in Construction of the Astute Class Nuclear Submarine; before moving into the Rail Sector as Head of Operation for Arriva working on a major Train refresh program for the Welch Assembly Government as Head of Operations.

With over 100 engineers from two locations reporting into him, Andrea is the head of the NES engineering department.
A Chartered Mechanical Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry, Andrea’s previous roles have encompassed tendering, negotiation, commercial, planning, team management and technical design.
With qualification including BEng (Hons) and an MBA, significant career achievements have included the development of the engineering capability for a tier 2 company in the nuclear sector as well as installing a planning and earned value culture within the organisation. -

Nick heads up the NES business development team, specialising in nuclear decommissioning. Having spent four years in a similar role with NIS, Nick brings a wealth of engineering and business development experience from a wide range of industries including domestic appliances, semiconductors, MoD systems, injection moulding and industrial automation.
Nick is a charted mechanical engineer with an honours degree in mechanical engineering design. -

Anthony joined NES in February 2011 to lead on developing the Company’s position and offer to the civil nuclear new build market. Prior to this, Anthony was the Nuclear Sector Specialist at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sheffield. This was a Government funded position, specialising in developing the UK supply chain for the nuclear new build industry.
Anthony is primarily based at the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre where NES are a Tier 1 Member alongside organisations like Rolls-Royce, Areva and Westinghouse. Anthony is responsible for supporting the Nuclear AMRC in developing the UK new build supply chain.
Prior to his involvement in the nuclear industry, Anthony spent most of his career specialising in business recovery and insolvency within manufacturing and engineering industries. Anthony also spent time working on European Research & Development funded projects, developing and assessing bids on behalf of the EU Framework R&D Programme. -

Mike joined NES in 2006 as Operations Manager responsible for the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and IT departments. During the his time with NES and as the Business has grown and developed he took on roles of Business Manager and Programme Manager for the newly created Nuclear and Defence Integrated Project Team. Mike as now moved into the Business Development Team to take responsibility for the Defence Markets.
Mike is a Physicist by training and before joining NES Mike had a career spanning some 30 years in the Power Utility Industry with GEC, GEC Alstom, Alstom and Areva. He held roles as Operations Director, Engineering Director and Projects Director supporting multi million pound, worldwide projects that applied Power Electronics Solutions into Electricity Networks. The key projects of note are the 2000MW dc power link between France and England where Mike was principal Engineer plus numerous projects in India, Canada, Korea, Scandinavia and China.

Graeme has over 25 years experience of working in the nuclear industry during which time he has gained a broad technical and business background developed within both the UK and international nuclear markets.
Prior to joining NES, Graeme worked for Nuvia Limited for twelve years in a senior bid management role on a wide variety of nuclear and non nuclear engineering projects, including; design, construction, land remediation, decontamination, decommissioning and demolition.
Graeme also worked for British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL) for ten years at Sellafield on their Thermal Oxide Reprocessing Plant (THORP), firstly in the commissioning of the Highly Active and Plutonium Purification Cycles of Chemical Separation and then into operations and projects. In addition to BNFL, he also spent over three years at Booths Hall working for Nuclear Electric on Sizewell B. -

Dave spent 20 years within BAE Systems direct from school serving as a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship before moving into Tool-room, Airframe Design and finally Quality Assurance.
He has worked within in both management and consultancy roles within the Oil & Gas, Medical, Engineering Fabrication, Anti-vandal & Modular Building, Healthcare sectors.
Dave joined NES in October 2010 and is responsible for QHSE and Stores. He manages 20 staff across the QA, H&S, Lifetime Quality Records, Inspection and Stores areas which support the Integrated Project Teams (IPTs). Dave is ultimately responsible for NESs QHSE policy and strategy, governance, frameworks for business management systems, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as maintenance of ISO 9001 and 14001 approval. -

Laura joined NES in April 2011 as Human Resources Manager. Laura has a strong track record in both strategic and 'hands-on’ operational Human Resources management gained at Vodafone, Home Retail Group and, most recently, Newey & Eyre.
Laura is responsible for developing NES’ HR strategy, recruitment policies, employee development and training and employee welfare. -

A Geography graduate Andrew qualified ACMA in 1988, since which time he has held a number of senior roles, in subsidiaries of major PLC’s, primarily in manufacturing/engineering for the automotive industry.
Andrew joined NES in 2007 and has supported the Director team through the recent group restructuring. -

Bob joined NES in August 2011 as Procurement Manager to lead Procurement through an improvement programme, moving from the ITER Fusion Reactor Project in Cadarache, France where he worked on major site works contracts.
Bob’s previous experiences range from procurement for Sellafield projects such as MASWEP and THORPE, through international construction projects in Power Generation and Chemical Industries then on to Procurement Consultancy. He has spent most of his time in the last 10 years leading procurement improvement projects in Education, Health and Regional Development areas of the Public Sector.
Bob began his procurement career in manufacturing but soon identified Project Procurement as his specialist area of operation where he was able to develop his expertise. His work has taken him as far as South East Asia and he has worked in France for a number of years as a result of which he speaks fluent French. -

Jim joined NES in March 2008 as the Manager responsible for the development of the North West Division. This Facility officially opened in April 2011 and Jim is currently the Acting General Manager.
Jims previous roles have included Commissioning Manager (Carillion SPRS), Senior Project Management (BNFL Instruments), Senior Project Manager (Canberra Harwell), Senior Project Manager (AMEC for BNFL), Operations Manager (Dounreay Fast Reactor Decommissioning)
He has over 30 year’s experience within the Nuclear Industry career covering New Build (PWR Reactors), Construction, Decommissioning and Care and Maintenance.
